                        Academic Semester Dates

                        ACADEMIC TERMSTARTING DATEENDING DATESTUDENTS MUST ARRIVE

                        • Fall 2011: Monday, 22 August to Friday, 16 December 2011 (Campus Arrival Dates: 19-20 August 2011)
                        • Spring 2012: Monday, 16 January to Friday, 18 May 2012 (Campus Arrival Dates: 13-14 January 2012)
                        • Summer 2012: Monday, 11 June to Friday, 29 June (Module 1) & Monday, 2 July to Friday, 20 July (Module 2). (Campus Arrival Dates for Module 1: Friday-Saturday, 8-9 June 2012 & Module 2: Friday-Saturday, 29-30 June 2012) Note: Students can take either one or both of the modules for a 3-week or 6-week summer program.
                        • Fall 2012: Monday, 13 August to Friday, 14 December 2012 ( Campus Arrival Dates: Friday-Saturday, 10-11 August 2012)
                        • Spring 2013: Monday, 14 January to Friday, 17 May 2013 (Campus Arrival Dates: Friday-Saturday, 11-12 January 2013)

                        Each Fall and Spring term is approximately 18 weeks long (approximately 2 weeks of study excursions, 1 week of mid-semester break and 15 weeks of classes) with a 3 or 6 week Summer term. Students must remain in residence in Chiang Mai during the entire program. Students will have up to 5 days after the end of any given semester to move out of the dormitory. Students should not have family and friends visit them in Thailand until after the program ends.

                        Please consider carefully your decision to attend the program if you suffer from certain health problems such as severe food allergies (e.g., nuts or shellfish), peptic ulcers, an extremely sensitive stomach, or a compromised immune system.
